Change has been a bit of a theme for the last few years, and there are some huge changes coming up.
So, the majority of my friends, both old and new, have children. Maybe I just wasn’t paying attention, or maybe they never talked about it… but I am finding our pregnancy fascinating. I think it’s amazing that there is a little boy inside Jo’s belly. Growing. Kicking. Hearing my voice. It blows my mind. Before we go to sleep each night, we place hands on the bump and wait for him to give us a kick before we fall asleep. There is so much change involved with having a baby, that I guess I have never thought through. I am finding myself thinking about things differently. My role. New insecurities. New fears. It’s all changing.
I am in the last week and a half of my job. I have a uniform fitting on the 19th, and orientation on the 21st, and then it all begins the following Monday. 8 weeks in class, and then I get assigned to a shift at the Children’s Hospital. I am looking forward to finally getting started. I am looking forward to getting another 1.5hrs to sleep in. I am looking forward to going back to school again. I am looking forward to the new challenge. In short, I am ready for a change. Plus I get a stethoscope.
My brother has introduced me to Warcraft. Like I needed another thing to waste time on.
It has been great having Jer down here the last few weeks. I think we’ll try and keep him around as long as we can. We haven’t lived together since highschool, but so far it’s working pretty good.
And, he just got Tie Fighter to work on his laptop, so I gotta go.
