Sculptures By The Bondi

We popped down to Bondi Beach and the Sculptures by the Sea exhibition this Sunday. I had wanted to catch it last year, but missed it, so I was happy to be able to see part of it this year. I say part because, someone is pregnant and walking the 3km or whatever it is for the whole thing seemed to be a bit daunting so we started in the middle and walked down to the strip to have brunch. Very cool stuff. If you search Flickr for “Sculptures by the Sea” you’ll find some awesome shots. Much better than these meager offerings.

So, I have entered into my last week of TAFE (college) for the first block. I’d be lying to say I am stoked for it. It is getting hotter during the day, and I think we are just over it… at least for now. Can’t wait to start next week. If/when I get my uniform I’ll post a couple of shots of it… covered in hopefully non-pathogenic micro-organisms… or right after I have washed them off.

Breathing Again

I am over the hump in my second last week of TAFE for this year, woohoo! I have the last major exam on Friday, and I am pretty much done until next year. The last couple of weeks have been a bit crazy, with more than one exam a week and presentations and assessments due. But that is all behind me now. So, if anyone needs a urinalysis done, just let me know .

I am looking forward to starting on the ward. It will be nice to do some more hands on stuff and get a bit more confident doing procedures and not feeling as useless. I start at the Kid’s Hospital in 2 weeks on the surgical ward. Looking forward to it.

Jo is doing very well. I believe she’ll be 34 weeks this weekend, but has a big couple of weeks coming up with school certificate marking, and finishing up the last month of classes before she is on holidays… or the baby comes… you know, which ever comes first.

I have got the Bro into floorball, so hopefully will get some footage of that to post up, for everyone’s enjoyment. And that’s about it from us. Stuff is moving along quickly. I am hoping that after this week I’ll feel a bit more like posting… mostly for mom… out!
